Memorial

Jonathan Robert Jorgensen, 51, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2016 at his home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.  Family will greet friends one hour before the service on Thursday at the chapel beginning at 10:30 AM.  A luncheon will follow the service at Our Saviors Lutheran Church: 3634 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  

Jon was born on May 7, 1964, graduated from high school in Waukee and attended DMACC in Ankeny. Jon is survived by his mother, Dorothy Powers and his brothers Joel, Justin and Terry as well as his sisters-in-law Corinne, Crystal and Linda.  Jon is also survived by his nephews Eric, Kyle and Thomas and his nieces Ashley, Sarah and Mikahla.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Jorgensen and step-father, Edward Powers.

Friends and family will remember Jon as a caring and gentle person with a love for fishing, singing and spending time with his family.  Jon will also be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
