Joan was librarian at Jefferson when I was principal. She was effective in her role and took her responsibilities seriously. The library was always a point of pride to me during her tenure. I join with her family in celebrating her life. She left things better than she found them.

Lloyd and family-- The girls and I are out of town and unable to join you Wednesday. Joan was an unfailingly kind neighbor, open and approachable. The smile which always graced her face was one of reassurance. Kevin Visser
