Douglas L. Lundgren, 84, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Northbrook Manor.  Memorial services and a Luncheon will be 10:30 am Saturday August 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. 

Douglas L. Lundgren was born on August 12, 1931 to Oscar and Vera Cranston Lundgren in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.  Douglas proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.  After his tour of duty, he attended the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  He was united in marriage to Marcia Schenk on September 4, 1958.  Douglas worked at Swift & Co. in Marshalltown and Tama Packing Plant.  He loved to play all sports and to follow the Hawkeyes.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshalltown.  He loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, with all his heart and he served Jesus and people unselfishly.  Douglas will be forever remembered for his unconditional love for his family.  He continued his giving heart by donating his body to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

He is survived by his children, Steve (Pam) Lundgren of Kennesaw, GA; Maria (Jeff) Dunham of Robins; and Jeff Lundgren of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Dorothy Young of St. Paul, MN; Cherilon McKenzie of Hastings, MN; Gloria (Mike) Nielsen of Spokane, WA; and Elizabeth (Seterious) Stavrou of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Jessica (Seth) Ingram, Caleb, Robert, Brittany, Alyssa, and Holly; a great grandchild, Riley; sister-in-law, Linda (John) Hensley; and many nieces and nepehws.

Douglas was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia; parents; siblings, Donna Lundgren and Bonnie Joy; and brother-in-law, Ray Young. 

A memorial fund has been established.
