Memorial

Sarah Joy Jones, 24 of Cedar Rapids passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home following a sudden illness.   Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the New Covenant Bible Church: 3090 North Center Point Road NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52411.  Officiating will be Pastor Tye Male.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband, Trai Jones Sr.; son, Trai Jones Jr.; a brother, Jacob Spiekermeier all of Cedar Rapids; her parents, David and Pauline Spiekermeier of Robins; grandmother, Joyce Groth of Hatton, ND; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family members. 

Sarah was born November 5, 1991 in Pune, India, and joined her family through adoption in 1994.  She grew up in Hiawatha, Iowa, and graduated from Kennedy High School with the class of 2010.  Sarah was married to Trai Jones on June 11, 2013.  She enjoyed all animals and vocal music.  But Sarah’s true passion was all the great times spent with her family and friends.  She will be remembered for her joy and laughter which touched so many peoples lives.
