Maxine lived across the hall from my mom and dad at Regency South.
After my father passed away Maxine and my mom became very good friends and shared special moments together and when my mom had to move to assisted living at Cottage Grove Place, Maxine came to visit her and encourage her.
When moving mom's things out of her condo at Regency Maxine would come over and tell us how much she was going to miss her friend.
She was such an amazing person and special friend of moms, we will always hold a special place in our hearts for her. So sorry for your loss and know that our prayers are with all of you.

My family and I have known Maxine for approximately 50 years!! She never waivered from being a true and delightful friend. Possessing the uncanny aptitude of making all whom she encountered feel worthy, she was able to connect meaningfully with many. Dinners spent with her always made me smile as did the visions of her splashing in the Gulf (not that long ago) with my daughter! It's difficult to describe her girlishness, selflessness, elegance, down to earth comments, loyalty to faith, family and friends,etc.....all in one person. She will surely be missed, but will have left quite a legacy for us to follow and will be enthusiastically welcomed in her new home!!!
Sincere condolences to all of the family and to all who will miss her wonderful spirit!

Maxine was a gem to our family, as I am sure she was to all who were lucky enough to share a part of her life. I will always remember how excited I was to get to see her, her ongoing smile, wonderful laugh, and seeing her drive up to my parents home in her convertable tooting the horn we all enjoyed so much! She had a special gift of love to share with those around her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends as she is out of our midst, but now enjoys eternal life with our Lord in his heavenly home.

Death brings pain that time can only heal,
No words could ease what we truly feel;
But with God, her joy is eternally sealed,
And cherish her memories that death can't even steal.

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
My condolences.

I was so sorry to hear of Maxine's passing, I had just sent her a birthday card. I lived for a number of years across from Maxine, I vividly remember one fall she and I went on a cruise up the Eastern part of U.S. to see the fall colors, flew back from Quebec, shopping at ports for her glass collection, fond memories. My condolences. Joyce O'Brien
