Memorial

Thomas R. Sotelo, 77, of Urbana died peacefully on Saturday February 20, 2016 at his home. Services at 10:30 AM on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jean, a son Thomas (Toni) of Etna, Wyoming, a daughter Tonya of Cedar Rapids, and a sister Patricia (Angelo) Sorbello of New Jersey. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Tom was born on August 2, 1938 in Cedar Rapids the son of Thomas and Mae Benda Sotelo. He married Mary Jean Petty on August 6, 1957 in Tipton. 

Tom was a ready mix driver for Kings Concrete and retired from there in 1996    after more than 36 years of service. 

Tom and Mary Jean were avid campers and he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, going to the casino and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends.

He will be greatly missed and his memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
