Kari Kay Person, 51, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday February 23, 2016. Services: Private. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Dennis Morey will officiate.
Survivors include her daughter, Brittany Torres, and her grandchildren; Alivia Torres and Jaiden Torres of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her parents; Denny Person of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and her mother, Jan (Wayne) Karr of Cedar Rapids, her brother, Scott (Becky) Person and their family, Mariah Peck, Halle Person all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her sister, Amy (Anthony) Arrington and their children; Alanna Arrington and Amyah Arrington all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Robert and Gladys Kitterman and Eddie and Mary Person.
Kari was born December 1, 1964 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Denny and Jan (Kitterman) Person. She graduated from Washington High School in 1983. She was employed with Aegon for 17 years while working part-time at Carousel Foods and 4 years at for Diamond V Mills. Kari was very well liked. She had a big heart and was always helping people. Her humor and smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her. “I loved everyone so much. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but you live and learn. I will miss everyone and I will miss you.”
