Sheryl Ann Henley, age 76, of Coggon, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Service will be 10:00am Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be 5 to 8pm Friday, September 4, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Coggon Cemetery. 

Surviving are her husband Gilbert; children Tracy (Dave) Sigl of Rochester, MN, Brian (Dawn) Henley of Marshalltown, IA and Jennifer (Tony) Bowen of Coggon, IA; grandchildren Matt (Joelle) Henley, Creighton Henley, Daniel Sigl, Jacob Sigl, Isabelle Bowen and Claire Bowen; Great-grandchildren Lane Henley, Cailtyn Henley, Lyla Henley and Colton Henley; and Cousins Michael Gallagher and Bill (Moria) Gallagher. She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, and Step-father Charles Pomeroy. 

Sheryl was born April 6, 1939 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of Kermit and Bessie Gallagher Byerly. On June 21, 1964 Sheryl and Gilbert Henley were united in marriage at St. James Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sheryl worked in Food Service for the Cedar Rapids School District. 

Sheryl was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, a Member of the Circle Group, Cub Scout Den Mother, Campfire Girls Leader, Coggon American Legion’s Woman’s Auxiliary. She loved sewing, scrapbooking, bird watching, her dog Chloe, but most of all she loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
