Jeff and family,
I would like to express my sympathies to all of you at this time of sorrow. She most certainly was a fine lady with a great family, whom she was very proud of.

Dear Jeff & John: Your mom was a very special person to me when we were all growing up together. I remember how she always wanted me to eat because I was such a skinny kid! She always had a smile on her face and was genuinely happy to see me when I came over. There were special times when Zahra would get out her accordion and play just to entertain us. I'm so grateful to have known her. My sincerest condolences. ~Judy

Dear Jeff and John,
So many good memories of sitting in your mother's kitchen while eating delicious foods that she prepared, and gleaning words of wisdom. When I was in college and came home for the holidays she would always make sure to send me back with a plate of baklava. What a dear lady, always looking out for others.
My family loved her and she will be missed.
Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Jeff and John , So very sorry to hear of Zehra's passing. She was a wonderful soul who charmed you with food, stories and laughter. Judy and I both spend a great deal of time at your home and we always felt welcomed and loved. I was thrilled every time she would bring out her accordion and play for me! I remember listening to some of her stories about escaping from her homeland and coming to America. She volunteered to pierce my ears for me and I will never forget sitting in your kitchen while she used an ice cube, needle and thread to do the job! I still wear my earrings thanks to her!!! Like many of our parents, she had a great work ethic and was a source of inspiration to all of us. I will always remember her and your family with great fondness. I hope that your memories will sustain you during this difficult time. Blessings and love to you all.

Dear John,
I will miss your mom dearly. She was a wonderful, sweet person who always welcomed a visit. Always felt very comfortable in her home catching up. She always wanted to feed me when I would come over to see her. She always had kind words to say and share. Heaven just gained an amazing person and she will be missed! Hugs Anita

Dear John and Jeff, so sorry to hear about your mom. Zehra was always such a warm and kind person, and always wanted us to stay in the kitchen or famliy room to chat and snack. As kids growing up, she always knew we wanted to run outside and play instead, but her soft whistle from the window could be hear for miles when we knew it was time to get home. As older "kids", she had our back on more than one occasion, a very special person. Many great memories of her and Arif. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. Love to all. Matt

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed knowing Zehra, for a short time, while doing her hair. She was "Miss America" to all and had such a sweet positive attitude. She loved her family! Sharon Brown
