Memorial

Zehra Kenjar, 91, of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday October 21, 2015 at St. Luke’s Living Center East. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 12-3 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Graveside services will be private.

Zehra is survived by her sons, Jeff (Laurie) of New Mexico, John (Kaila) of Ames, stepson, Raif (Ismeta) of Cedar Rapids, stepdaughters, Vasvija Heder of Cedar Rapids, and Raifa Keric of St. Louis, Mo. Also surviving are loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 52 years, Arif.

Zehra was born May 15, 1924 in Bosnia and came to the United States in 1951, moving to Eagle Grove and settling in Cedar Rapids in 1952. She was always pleased to settle in Iowa and proudly became a United States Citizen in 1956.

Zehra was a long time employee of Wilson Foods. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and live music. Please leave a message for the family on our webpage www.cedarmemorial.com under obituaries.
