Timothy W. Nightingale, 56, of Iowa City, died Sunday December 6, 2015 in the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday December 11, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Marion. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. at the church on Friday. Private family burial at a later date. Pastor Randy Bobzien will officiate. 
      
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Nightingale of Greentown, Pennsylvania, his daughter, Sara Nightingale of Iowa City, Iowa, his parents; Douglas and Patricia Nightingale of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, his sisters; Cheryl Phelps of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Dawn (terry) Fuller of Marion, Iowa.  Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents. 
      
Timothy was born September 2, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Marion High School in 1977 and then received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Iowa. He worked for Hargrave McEleney Motors in Iowa City, Pat McGrath Auto in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids and Procter & Gamble for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, hunting and painting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
