Memorial

Mildred L. Triska, 99, of Cedar Rapids died Friday November 28, 2014 at her home after a short illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter Linda Miller of Marion; a son Richard of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, Rainey Miller and Cara Payne and a great grandchild Colton Payne. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Mildred was born on May 27, 1915 in Logansport, Indiana, the daughter of Marshall and Lena Martin Hinton. She married Louis L. Triska on September 2, 1933 in Valparaiso, Indiana. Louis passed away in 1984.

Mildred worked as a hostess at the Roosevelt Hotel for many years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Golden Kiwanis. She enjoyed cooking gardening and especially the time spent with her beloved family

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
