Lorraine “Lori” Susan Lund Styron, left us Thursday, March 20, 2014 after a short fight with cancer. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 at 642 18th Ave. SW in Cedar Rapids from 3 to 6 PM.

Lori was born May 1, 1956 in Cedar Rapids to Stanley and Gerda Lund. She married Don Styron on August 5, 1988.  She was employed at Menards till the diagnosis.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Don and his daughter Sylvia Brown, Sisters; Linda (Johnny Brewer) Meeks, Lisa (Dan Ricklefs) Negerete, mother and father-in-law; Clayton & Jane Martinez, sister-in-laws; Mona, Gina and Genny, Nephews; Todd Meeks, Trevor Ricklefs, Nieces; Tina (Bryon) Ruby, Cortney Negrete and her great nephew and niece, Alec & Hallie Ruby.  

Lori is preceded in death by her parents and beloved dog, Baby.
 
Lori’s happiest days were vacationing, cabins, camping, fishing, and sitting around their fire pit.  Nature was her gift of life.  During Lori’s illness she never complained.  Lori was so brave, she was our strong rock.  We will miss her “quirky’ little smiles.  Lori’s family would like to thank St. Lukes Hospice for their care.  Thank you to all her co-workers for your visits and cards, it meant a lot.
