Fraternally, Brothers & Sisters of The Order of Eastern Star, Silver Leaf Chapter #5 Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Worthy Matron Dorothy Steward, Secretary, Petrina Aikins-Kumi

Bonnie, I have so many fond memories of Irene and Claude and you and Danny. Your parents lived a couple of homes away from my grandparents (Harold and Faye) on 10th Avenue. I also remember several times when you babysat my brother, Johnny, and me when we lived on Fruitland Blvd. We always had lots of fun and thought you were "The Best"! Your mother and father were always so friendly and welcoming. Irene was such a lovely and loving lady. Wonderful memories from many years ago. Thinking of you and your family and wishing you peace and comfort through your treasured memories. Take care and God Bless. My sincerest sympathies - Linda

Bonnie & Family, Your Mom and your family remain a part of my roots. What a lovely woman. I last saw you and Mom at K Mart in CR many years ago. I often have fond memories of the ties that bind. Unfortunately, I have a Masonic event scheduled in Des Moines for March 8 at the identical hour of the service. There is disappointment in my heart that I will not be able to meet with you and your family. Please be assured that my prayers and emotions are with you at this time of sorrow. Please stay in touch, as our roots shall be forever entwined. Sincerely, Bev Taylor 3825 Riverside Drive N.E. Cedar Rapids IA 52411. 319 -378-4076

Bonnie, Just a note to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. I have many fond memories of your mother, Danny, and you while growing up down the street from you. Your mother was always so kind to me. Bob Vittengl

Irene was an absolutely wonderful woman. My dad, John Marshall, would frequently talk of how Claude and Irene helped raise him and taught him many the values he carried all his life. I remember visiting Irene and Claude at their Cedar Rapids home many, many times. You could not have met nicer, more sincere people. We think of them often and am so sorry we didn't find this memorial until now.
