Jean, Bob and Kevin-
This will be a tough time for all of you, I know. It is so tragic to lose a loved one, especially at such a young age. In the days to come, always remember the good times you had together, and know that she is no longer suffering.
I will always remember our days growing up on H & 37th and some of the crazy things we kids did. We had so much fun! It makes me smile to think about it.
Take care of each other, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Lynne

It was sad to read about Christy in the paper. I knew her from Peoples Bank days, JC Penneys and then at Walmart. I am sure she is at peace. I chatted with her several times during her struggle and she was always such a positive person and always had a smile for you. I am sure that is what helped to get her through her rough times. Just know that she will be missed and was always there to help the customers in Walmart and assisted me many times. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time.

Jean, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your daughter, Christy. Likewise, Kevin, your sister. I remember her, of course, from our days as neighbors on H Avenue. And I remember you, Wiley, at my nephew Keith's wedding. We ask how a good and loving God can allow suffering and death, and his ways are often beyond our understand. But the apostle Paul wrote, "I am sure that neither death nor life … nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:39). And we also read that God "will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away" (Revelation 21:4). So we must not lose hope, but trust in our Lord for all things, both in this life and in the life to come.

Dear Bob and family,
So sorry to hear and read of Christy's passing. I would visit with her in Wal-Mart from time to time and she always had such a positive attitude. Admired her greatly.

Bob and Wiley,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife/mom. I worked with Chris for many years at JCP. I want you know what a kind and thoughtful person she was. When I was pregnant with my son she helped me find a babysitter (Linda of course), and gave me clothes. She was always so generous! I don't know how many times she would offer all of us to watch our kids if we were in a pinch and she had the day off.
Wiley, she was so proud of you! Even when I would run into her at Walmart, she always made sure to tell me what accomplishments you had made. Keep up the good work.
Please know you still have "family" at the salon!

To Bob, Austin, Jean and Kevin and all other family members of Christy. I knew Christy from roller skating a long time ago. She also cut my hair a few times at JC Penney. I enjoyed her smile and being friends with her. I will miss her. Sorry for all of your loss's with her passing away.
