Gordon Trimble

Born in Cedar Rapids, IA
Born on Oct 23, 1937
Departed on Jan 8, 2014

My sincere condolences to my sister Sandy, niece Julie and nephews Dave and John. Even though I had not seen Gordon in a long time I will remember the good times I shared with my family in Iowa- memories that will be with me forever.

I will always remember Gordon and Sandy best for their treks to Rosedale, Indiana to visit with their grandchildren, Nicole and Kirsten. It was rare to catch Gordon without that great big smile on his face. The love both Gordon and Sandy have for their precious granddaughters was shared during every single minute of these visits. He was such a sweet man and the ultimate grandfather. My condolences are with Sandy, Nicole, Kirsten and the family during this time of sorrow. May your happy memories carry you through these dark days. Sherri Wakefield Mangin

I will miss my brother, since we moved to Holiday Lake we didn't see each other as much as we would have liked to, but we did keep in touch by phone, I am going to miss those phone calls. Now he along with Jim and dad can tell jokes to mom. Love you!!

My condolences to Gordon's family. Gordon and I were classmates at McKinley ages ago. I hope you all fine some peace in knowing that he is being remembered by the classmates from McKinley.

Sandy,I wish I had the words to help ease the pain you and your family are going through at this time. Only God knows when it's time and he called, "Gordon, come home my good and faithful servent".

Sandy, I didn't know you personally but Gordon always talked about you and his family, and mutual friends we knew from Roosevelt School. I worked with Gordon a few winters at Gordmans and he was such a nice guy to work with, very helpful and considerate. I would like to extend my sympathy to you and your family. We miss you Gordon. Now you are with all the other guardian angels watching over us. No more pain or suffering and I'm sure you have that great smile. Thinking of Sandy and your family during such a sad time. Hugs to everyone

We were Jackson Grade School and McKinley High School friends growing up together with our families on 6th Ave. S.E. near the post office and Mercy Hospital. It sure was nice having Gordon's close friendship during our youth days of our lives. With Sympathy....Frank Sykora

You were my Uncle, my Hero, my Friend and I will miss you so much. I will try and not be sad for our loss, but be eternally grateful for the honor of having you in my life. I wish we could have had more time at the lake talks, caught a few more fish, and not taking the time to let my boys get to know you better. Thanks for the memories Uncle Gordy. Kenny

I worked with Gordon at Gordmans a few years ago.. He was a great person to work with and very time I saw him he had a smile on his face. I would like to send my deepest sympathy to Sandy and the rest of the family.
