Dear Sus, Ron and BJ;
I was so so sorry to hear the news re: Nick from Mom. And so sorry I can't be there with you all to celebrate his life. I'll forever remember Nick racing up the hill to see Dad ("Joe") as soon, or shortly after, you guys would pull into the drive on Seely Avenue for a visit. Am thinking of you all during this time, and hope the great memories you have of Nick help you through these rough days. I've no doubt both Sharon and Dad have helped him transition, and what better ones to meet him than those two.

Suzie, Mark, and Ron-
I am so very sorry for your loss. Years ago when my family was visiting in Iowa I remember my son William standing in my mom's driveway watching Nick play with some really cool toys that he had brought to Grandpa Ron's house. Considering Nick lived in Kansas and William lived in Texas the boys had never met...it was merely a coincidence that they were both visiting their grandparents in Cedar Rapids. When Nick noticed that he was being watched he immediately asked William to come play. That within itself was a very nice action but the thing that made it commendable was that I watched Nick share (unconditionally) every single one of his cool toys with Will...that's a lot to be said for an 8 year old little boy...and a wonderful lesson for us all. Thank you Nick.

Dear Sus, Ron and BJ;
Was so so sorry to hear about Nick. And so sorry cannot be there to celebrate his life with you all--I will always remember Nick when he would come to visit Grandma and Grandpa (Sharon and Ron). Shortly after he arrived if Dad (Joe) was around, Nick would be up at 1308 to say 'hi' and to help Joe out with whatever he was doing. The two of them were quite the buddies. Am glad that Sharon and Dad are on the receiving end, and there to help Nick out. Wish I was there to give you all a long and hard hug--until then--please know you're in my thoughts.
