Joseph R. Kremer, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1 from 3 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 AM, with a visitation beginning an hour prior, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Podhajsky. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites.
Joseph Robert Kremer was born on April 8, 1950 to Donald and Rita Johnson Kremer in Dubuque, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Norma Sbiral on October 4, 2004 in Cedar Rapids. Joseph proudly served in the US Air Force during Vietnam. He worked as an engineer and salesman for IPI from 1977 to 2009. Joseph was a “Jack of all trades”. He enjoyed landscaping, remodeling, and woodworking. He will be forever remembered as a loving, family man who would drop anything to help anyone in need. Joseph will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Raeline Netolicky of North Liberty; Robert (Rica Santiago) Kremer of Los Angeles, CA; Jessica Kremer of Cedar Rapids; and Sarah Kremer of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Robert Netolicky, Erin Netolicky, Meikaella Neal, Toby Neal, and Alexis Jensen; his mother, Rita Kremer of Dubuque; 2 brothers; 5 sisters; many loving nieces and nephews; and 2 special companion dogs, Lacy and Scooter.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
