My sincere condolences to you and your family. I have many fond memories of your mom and dad. Prayers of strength and peace to all of you.

Mike & family, Tex Heyer came into my store Monday to tell me about Barb. The very first thought in my mind was ice tea. I spent alot of evenings and dinners at your mom & dad's. We always had ice tea. Your mom was my mentor at St. Lukes and my friend, almost a surrogate mom. Mike, the last time I saw you, you were just out of high school. I moved away from Cedar Rapids in 1978 but saw your mom and dad a couple of times a year. Your mom was truly a loving person. I am in hopes of making it to either the visitation or funeral. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Melva INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (Stock) Metcalf

Mike, Becky and family,
May God wrap his loving arms around you during this time of grief. It brings me comfort to know that Tom and Trudy have reunited with your Mom and are showing her the wonders of Home. May God grant us all peace as we think of the wonderful memories of Barb's activities with Noelridge Christian Church and Camp Courageous. She was a living example of how to live and put everyone else at the front of the line.

Mike and family, I send my deepest sympathy inthe passing of your loved one. I only knew her for a short time at Cottage Grove, but so enjoyed my visits with her when she would stop by my desk.
She was a lovely lady and will be missed by so many. May God grant you the strength to get through this trying time. Please let me know if I can give you any help.

Mike and Family, Our sincere sympathy to all of you. We lived across the street on Pine View Drive N. E.. Your parents were great neighbors. Know that our thoughts are with all of you. Don & Marilyn Thomsen

Dear Mike, Becky and family, Please accept our sympathy and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We knew Barb many years and have so many great memories of her. Kathy worked in the kitchen at NCC for many years with her and saw her at her best - serving others & making social time great. Dan always looked forward to her special chocolate treats and she always made sure he got one of them before she put them out. We so wish we could be there to attend her services but we now live in FL. Please know we are there in thought. Blessings, Kathy and Dan Madden

Mike, Becky, Ginny, Melissa, & Tommy,

Barb was such a wonderful friend and we shared many laughs together as we worked side by side at church. I will always cherish those memories of her. I pray that you, too, are comforted by the knowledge that she is rejoicing with Tom and Trudy now. Barb exemplified Christian service.

Dearest Mike, Becky, Jennifer, Melissa, Thomas, and Friends-
We have lost a wonderful friend in Barb... Everything she did, she did to perfection...as a sign of her love. Tom & Barb's love story was as wonderful as any I have ever heard. Their lives were spent doing for others. What a huge void they leave us with...but what a beautiful legacy...
Take care....

Dick and I go back a long way knowing Barb and Tom. They were special friends and Barb and Tom are now together.

Mike and Becky,
I will always think of your mother when I make her chocolate bars. She served tirelessly at Noelridge Christian Church, helping all of us to feel welcome and full. She knew how to be Christ's hands and feet here on earth.

We are so sad to just hear of the news of Barb's passing. She was a very special person and so dedicated to Blank Children's Hospital. We will miss our lunches and seeing her at the donor events. We are sorry that we missed the visitation and funeral - please know our thoughts & prayers are with you and your family.
