May the Lord comfort all the family here on earth as is now Dick is present with the Lord.

On behalf of Crawford Engineering, I wish to express my heartfelt sympathy to Dick's family. Dick was a friend and colleague we had the pleasure to work with on numerous swimming pool projects. I think Dick may have coined the phrase "family aquatic center", which showed his vision for developing what has become a standard for modern day swimming pools. Even though schedules were hectic and deadlines loomed, Dick was always cheerful and enthusiastic. His leadership always brought the projects together on time. We will always have fond memories of Dick -- he was a great guy and a great engineer. John, Dan and Larry Crawford

I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing and I send my sincere condolences to the entire family. It has been a long time since I last saw Dick and the family but I remember the days of growing up next door to the Whiteaker's. The kids of the neighborhood all played together, running in and out of each others houses and back yards. Dick and Betty welcomed all of us and are a part of the wonderful memories I have of those days on Crestview. I pray that God will comfort you as you grieve his passing. God Bless you all.

Our sincere sympathy to the Betty and the children. We got to know Dick when we bought our pool from Pool Tech. Wendy was our first salesperson and then Dick followed up with his wisdom and suggestions about having a pool. He was a great guy and his door was always open for a visitor.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
God's Blessings,

Rick, it was a pleasure working with you, your father and the Pool Tech team on a variety of marketing assignments. I loved reading the stories you have in the store about the unique swimming pools that Pool Tech offers and the service you deliver.
Keep those special memories close of the time with your father and hugs to Amy and the rest of your family.

I had the opportunity to work with Dick on our first project in 1980...it was Camp Courageous' first indoor pool. Dick worked with Camp, knowing funding was close to non-existent, but also realizing how important a pool is to those with special needs. Camp's current pool, built in 2000, which Dick played a key role, is a Nationaly Recognized and Award Winning Indoor Pool for those with special needs. Dick will be dearly missed...but his legacy lives on in his projects at Camp and all over the country and through his wonderful wife and children.

Our sympathy to the family. Although many years have passed since I knew Dick and the Whiteaker family, I can still remember Dick's good nature, wry wit and calm experience...the quintessential dad. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family, it's hard to lose a husband and father but remember and cherish the good times

Dear Betty and Family,
I was so sad to hear of Dick's passing. I loved him dearly and thought the world of him. He always made me smile. On my last day at Cottage Grove I was on my way home and Glenna called me and told me that Dick and Betty wanted to say goodbye to me. They didn't make the going away party. I turned around immediately and headed back to Cottage Grove. I was so glad I did. They where both waiting for me. God Bless you and you will all be in our prayers.
