Dustin Northrup, 29, of Cedar Rapids, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Monday, September 24, 2012. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal by the Rev. Martha Rogers. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Dustin is survived by his father, Robert ( Monica) Northrup; brother, Shane (Amy);sister Jenny (Jesse), Nieces, Addison and Kiana; grandparents, Nellie Grade and William McDermott; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friend, Tasha Peterson; godson, Kaden; and beloved best friend, Weiser. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gina; grandparents, Wayne and Fern; and friend, Cale.Dustin was born June 8, 1983 in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 2001. He was a proud member of Millwright Local #2158. Dustin will be remembered best for his personality and character. He was very caring and would do anything for family or friends. His hobbies included camping, tubing, boating, watching movies, and Hawkeye football. He loved being surrounded by family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to family or US Bank at 5321 Council Street NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.There will be a gathering following services until 10 p.m. at the Valley View Pavilion in Seminole Valley Park.
