Zona - Oh the wonderful memories we have of being friends with you for 53 years. Gordon was for sure one of those people who made this world a better place. My heart was saddened when I heard of Gordon's passing. Went to see Mom at West Ridge on Wednesday and found out. Gordon was such a classy, smiling, wonderful guy and a wonderful neighbor. Duane and I had such fun with him and Zona over the fence. Prayers and thoughts to all of you.

I am saddened to hear of Gordon's passing. A few years ago when my mom, Dixie first started going to Apache Junction Az, I went down with her. One day Gordon and Zona took us on a trip to ride the then new train. It was great, and then we stopped for ice cream in Mesa on way back. It was a wonderful experience.

Dear Zona, Chip, Brenda and family,
I am sorry for the great loss you undoubtedly feel with Gordon's passing. Although we never want to see our loved one suffer, and know it is best to let them go be with the Lord, we will always long for more time...the good times.
I have such fond memories of Gordon and your whole family, while growing up next door. Those were truly the days when people knew what it meant to be neighborly. I recall that Gordon was always so maticulous with the lawn. Always neat as a pin and never a weed in sight. A funny memory was when Gordon had to come to our yard to pick dandelions to make some homemade wine. Of course he couldn't find any in your yard, and goodness knows, we had more than plenty to share! As they say, "It takes a village to raise a child" and Gordon was a very important part of my village.
I justed wanted you to know that I am thinking of you, and pray God's comfort for you all.
