Barbara Jean Kulish, 65, of 2640 Clark Ave, Marion, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the Antioch Christian Church in Marion. Burial will follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, and from 9 AM to service time on Thursday at the Church.

Surviving to honor her memory are her husband of 44 years Leonard, three sons Christopher (Cheryl) Kulish of Chaska, Minnesota, Craig (Julia) Kulish of Center Point, Iowa, and Michael (Nicky) Kulish of Castle Rock, Colorado, three brothers Roger (Gayle) Fickbohm of Wayzata, Minnesota, Tom (Audrey) Fickbohm of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Larry (Gayle Gonsior) Fickbohm of Port Wing, Wisconsin, one sister Eileen (Jim) Gebel of New Hampton, Iowa, and ten grandchildren, Nathan, Laura, David, Joshua, Samantha, Micah, Zach, Shelby, Victoria, and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Richard Fickbohm.

Barbara was born October 30, 1944, in Algona, Iowa, to Thomas and Dorothy (Wichtendahl) Fickbohm. She married Leonard Kulish on April 11, 1966 in Lawler, Iowa. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church. She was employed at Mercy Medical Center from 1992 to 2007, and after her retirement she volunteered at the front desk.

Barbara was a devout Christian. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, her aerobic classes, and her friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her ten grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial fund has been established.
