It was a real pleasure to know him and talk about all things in life. He will be missed.

My sympathy to Bob's family. I got to know Bob after joining the Board of Directors of the Kernels. He was a great guy and a real joy to visit with and be around. We will miss him greatly and remember him in our prayers.

Bob will be greatly missed by so many, including me, our friendship developed starting in 1959, we were then friendly competitors, he then became a valued client and after my "retirement" offered me a part time job. Great person and will be greatly missed by all.

My wishes for Peace and comfort to all the family and friends.

I was very saddened to hear of your losses.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Gloria, Rick, Doug and the rest of the family. I have fond memories of Bob, his love of baseball, the Hawkeye's and his humor.

To family -
Thinking of you with caring thoughts and deepest sympathy. Remember your husband/father as the very special person he was. Wishing you strength and comfort at this sad time.

To Don, Joan, Gloria, Rick and Doug.
My heartfelt condolences for all of you. I was blessed to meet Bob on the tennis court and later on the golf course, where he displayed a great love for sports. He will truly be missed. My thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow, but it also a time to rejoice in knowing that he is in a better place now, one where he will be out putting for that elusive "birdie".
God Bless,

Rick, Doug and Gloria,

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was always so kind. When I think of him I think of a man who loved people and enjoyed life. I loved the atmosphere when I started working at Klinger's many years ago and it was in large part due to Bob's kind easy-going attitude. I will sure miss him.
You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Susan

We enjoyed the video that celebrated Bob's life with his family and friends. We knew him through our parents, Mike and Sharon Miller of Stanwood,IA INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (deceased '02) of Miller Paint Company. During the 60's and 70's Mike painted most of Cedar County with Klinger Paint! My sister and I drove endless trips to Cedar Rapids to pick up paint as teenagers. Bob always had a wave or smile for us even when he was busy and thanked us for our business.
Our family also spent much time in Colorado and often shared stories. Ann and I INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (Deb) and families send sincere sympathy for your loss.

Doug and Rick, you have our deepest sympathies for the loss of your Father and your Sister.

What a wonderful video. Bob had that smile that made me instantly like him. It is a smile that will definitely be missed. As I watched the video I thought to myself what a great guy, such a kind man and a friend to everyone - proof of a life well lived. We are thinking of all of you often during these difficult days.

Gloria,Doug and Rick,I will never forget the trips with your dad to Anamosa. Told him once I needed Klinger hats, and what did he do but had hats made for me with Frank on them.
I thought I could throw some paint at 62, but Bob put me in my place at 74. I will miss him, he's a real mans man.

My sincere condolences to all of you for the loss of Bob and Susan. I remember my days of working at Klingers and how we could always count on Bob arriving everyday and making his rounds, saying good morning to all the employees. He also loved to greet all the customers and make them feel welcome.
May you find peace during these next few weeks and upcoming holiday season. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your families.

Dear Mrs. Klinger, Doug, Rick and Family,

I have the fondest memories of the time that I very fortunate had to spend with you over the years.

You have always been very wonderful to me, and I have so many fond memories of growing up with Suzanne.

The vacation you and Mr. Klinger took me on with Suzanne to Colorado was a blast. Being best of friends with Suzanne, I spent a lot of time at your home. You were always very welcoming. Mr.Klinger was always there to help us with anything we needed. He even got Suzanne and me a job together at the ball park! He was the most generous tipper when Suzanne & I worked together at Armstrong's Cafe.

I will always remember him for his kind heart, patience with us girls, big smile, and love for his family and their friends. We had many fun years together, and they will be forever remembered, and I will be forever grateful for the beautiful memories and treasured friendships.

May Suzanne and her dad rest in peace, and may your heartfelt fond treasured memories help to bring you peace and comfort every day.

My prayers and thoughts are with you,

With much love, Linda

My condolences and sympathy to the Klinger family.

Bob has been a good friend since I first moved to Cedar Rapids: on the tennis court, in the paint store, and upon any chance meetings. I'll miss his congeneal manner, enthusiasm for tennis and his genuine concern for friends.

We can't imagine how difficult it must be to lose your Father and sister like this. Our deepest, deepest sympathies. Love, John & Pam
