I didn't know the Canney family personally, but I do know that the Canney family have made a great addition to the city of Cedar Rapids. I learned how to ride a motorcycle in 1998. My husband purchased me a Honda 250 Rebel from a farmer in Fairfax. It was blue and the farmer told me that they had purchased it from one of the Canney sons. I loved that Rebel. After getting my motorcycle license, I decided I needed a bigger bike. I sold the Rebel to a lady in Michigan and purchased a 750 Virago. I kick myself all the time now because I really do miss that Rebel. Thanks for all the fun I had on the Rebel perfecting my riding skills.

I didn't know Tim well, but I remember him as a very kind person. The first contact I recall having with him was when I was in grade school. Some older boys were giving me a hard time, and Tim stepped in to defend me. I remember feeling so appreciative, especially since I was pretty sure he didn't know who I was. He was such a neat kid and became a wonderful adult. He was too young to die. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Give my best to the boys and Tim's wife.

I knew Tim via the gun community. At the CR gun shows where he exhibited, we'd usually have a good talk.

I didn't even know about Tim until 3 days ago INSERT INTO guestbook VALUES (19SEP). Chris and I are both shocked and saddened. I wish I knew what to say to Lisa, Don, Gloria, Mike, and Kevin! I took it for granted that I'd be able to see him again someday when things weren't so busy. Tim was my best friend during a very hard period in my life and I'll never forget our friendship. I just learned of your loss while on a recent visit back to Cedar Rapids. I loved having lunch with you, Gloria, at Prairie when you would entertain all of us with stories of the boys.
