Memorial

Ruth "Lillian" Fahey, 90, of the Winslow House Care Centre in Marion died Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals after a sudden illness. Private family service will be on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday.
Survivors include two daughters, Patti Dan Boonstra of Cedar Rapids, Connie Fahey of Hiawatha, one sister, Bonnie Hoenig of Ft. Madison and a brother, Thomas Pat Gunn of Bonaparte. She is also survived by a grandson, Nathan Kate Boonstra and two great grandchildren, Samuel and Benjamin Boonstra. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Charles and a brother, Donald Gunn.
Lillian was born on June 21, 1918 in Ft. Madison, the daughter of Charles and Ruth Johnson Gunn. She married Wilfred "Bill" Fahey on March 31, 1944 in California. He died in 2003. Lillian was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and especially the time spent with her beloved family. Memorial donations may be given to the Iowa Donor Network in Lillian's name.
