Earl D. Boyle, 79, of rural Anamosa, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Services with military honors at 10 AM Saturday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Jonna Jensen of the Central City United Church of Christ will officiate. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 5 to 8 PM on Friday and at the chapel after 9:30 AM on Saturday.
Survivors include three sons Randy and wife Shari of Hiawatha, John and wife Brenda of Anamosa, and Matthew of Palo, his sister Carol Cox and husband Ken of Sierra Vista, Arizona, four grandchildren Josh, Jessica, Dalton, and Katie, and his former wife and friend Donna Boyle of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Neville.
Earl was born November 27, 1927 in Greensborough, North Carolina, to Leo and Georgia Bolden Boyle. He worked as an inspector at Square D from 1959 to 1990. He was a member of International Machinist Local 831, and was a US Army peacetime veteran.
