Dear Family,

As Worthy Matron of Cedar Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, I extend my condolences from our chapter. I did not know her very well, but she made my table decorations when I served as Worthy Matron in 1988. She always was very dependable and creative. The sisters said if it needs to be done, Sr. Bernice will get it done. I wanted to tell you of her dependable service to Cedar Chapter and it was greatly appreciated. We are very sorry to hear of Bernice's death. You don't know us, but we remember Bernice. When we got married we bought our first house from her in 1995. It was the little "dollhouse" on 34th Street Drive SE, Cedar Rapids. We got to know her during that time and really appreciated how much she cared for the house that was going to be our "first." She was a sweet lady. Our thoughts go out to you during this difficult time.
