Memorial

Bernice R. Wren, 96, of Marion, died April 30, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Memorial Services 4 PM Friday; May 4, 2007 at Kenwood Park United Methodist Church. Rev. Laura Smith will officiate. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation and Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter Joanne Hagedorn of Cedar Rapids, son Richard Wren and wife Carol of Tucson, AZ, 7 grandchildren, as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers George and Ollie, grand daughter Lyn Bray, and her husband Forrest in 1989.

Bernice Rebecca Wren was born February 23, 1911 in St. Louis, MO the beloved daughter of George H. and Martha Wilcox Williams. She was united in marriage to Forrest Wren on June 21, 1930 in Waterloo, IL. She was a member of Kenwood Park United Methodist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a creative artist and enjoyed drawing landscapes, as well as craft work. Bernice was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by those who love her.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Bernice's honor may be made to Kenwood Park United Methodist Church.
