Bill, Marge and Family....There aren't any words that can take away your pain and heartache that you are experiencing. But we wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Marge, Bill and Jason,
I was so shocked to hear about your loss. My heart goes out to all of you at this difficult time. You have all been in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry that I am out of town and will not be there for the services for Ian. Please know that I am thinking of you.

Bill,

Although I didn't know your son well, I am extremely sorry to hear of your loss. It's so hard to understand these tragedies in our lives and only prayer and time seem to help. I pray that the Lord grants strength, peace and comfort to you and your family.

In Christ,
Andy Meyer

Dear Marge and family,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of Ian's passing. What a handsome young man and what a terrible, terrible loss for all of you. I share your sorrow and pray that time and wonderful memories will help to ease your pain.

Marge, Bill, and Jason

Our prayers are with you in this tragic time.
Ian touched so many, and everyone who knew him cared for him. The outpouring of emotion since we found out has been tremendous. His friends are grieving tremendously.
We will continue to pray that God give you strength to get through this terrible time. The only consolation we can get any comfort from is that Ian is in heaven, in perfect peace and love.

We loved him, will miss him terribly, and will never forget him.

Marge,
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

You have my deepest sympathy, My prayers are with you and your family.

I just want you to know how much I believed in your son, Ian. He was a special young man and he will always be close to my heart. We had many close chats and I believe he is with Jesus right now having a great time! : My heart aches for you and for the times you went through with Ian. What a witness to us all!! ~Bonnie Hansen, Counselor, Kirkwood Community College

Bill and Family

We just were made aware of your son's death late Monday the 14th and were not able to attend the funeral or visitation. I'm so very sorry, Bill, for your loose and can not even comprehend what you must be feeling. We are not supposed to out live our children. Your only blessing is that he is in a better place with his savor!!

From all of us at Rohrbach Associates and from me personally we extend our most heart felt sympathy.

Steve

I am so sorry Marge for you and for your family and Ian's friends. May you find comfort. Linda Herman called me to tell of Ian's passing. I think Ian is such a special name. It is not one you hear often. I am sorry. Sincerly, Donna Berkhof

Bill, Marjorie and Jason, We've been out of town, and have just heard about Ian. We are all so deeply saddened over your tremendous loss. We remember Ian through all the years he and our son were in Sunday school together, and he was just the sweetest little boy. Though we lost touch since our children are all grown, we will always have such good memories of what a kind child he was, and cannot even begin to imagine the depths of your sorrow. Our hearts go out to you all, and you are all in our constant thoughts and prayers. Please know that you are being lifted up in prayer by many, many people, and that we wish you healing, and comfort, and peace.
With love, the Rustands

More than 11 years since Ian died. It should be duly noted that Heather Watts and I named our son after him. It is an honor to have a son who shares my brother's name. Ironically, our son was released from the NICU at UIHC on his uncle's birthday of August 25th.
