Ward M. Vanderpool

Dear Vanderpool Family, As many of you know, I grew up next door to Uncle Ward and Aunt Lee on Parkland and have many, many fond memories of my years growing up with them. My brother Ryan and I considered them our second parents throughout our child and adulthoods. We shared many a holiday, graduation, birthday and cherished so very many special achievments with them. In recent years our father Tim's ill health has prevented us from staying in close touch with Ward which I have now learned to regret. Uncle Ward will be greatly missed. I find comfort in knowing that he and Aunt Lee are together again in heaven. All My Love, Kelli, Matt, Dylan, Austin and Keegan Holub

To Ward Vanderpool's Family, I want to extend my sympathy to you on Ward's passing. I knew Ward through the International Academy of Aquatic Art. He was a wonderful MC at those swimming festivals. Ward and Lee were very active in the IAAA and both will be missed by our swimming community. With sympathy, Nadine Pietrantoni

My sympathy goes to the Vanderpool family. I knew both Lee and Ward through the IAAA. Ward emceed at our IAAA Festivals and was sorely missed when he retired. He had a great sense of humor and was kind to all of us. Being from Cedar Rapids myself prior to moving to Florida ten years ago makes both of them extra special. I am thankful for having known them.
