Harold Walter Hartley
Susan and I were so saddened to read of Harold's passing. We knew him through both the Izaak Walton League and Cedar Rapids Area Practical Shooters. Harold always had a smile but never an unkind word. I always enjoyed meeting him at a pistol match or a gun show because he was so unfailingly friendly. Harold will live forever in your hearts.

Harold has been a part of Joe and my work family at Midland Forge. We were there together until the end. Harold's teasing and laugh will be missed. He took such pride in being at work. We're fortunate to have met him in our journey through life.

Am so sorry to hear about Harold passing. He was a good friend and will be truly missed. Harold was one that always liked to help everyone at Cedar Rapids area Practical Shooting club. You could always count on Harold to lend a helping hand and always be there on Sunday rain or shine. Harold was one of the safest and most careful shooters we have had. If there is anything that I can do to help just give me a call. 319 721-1147 Once again he will be missed by all.

Harold was a very good friend, he would come into work with a big smile everyday. He was so easy to talk to. Harold and I would sit and talk for hours at work about life and he cared about others. Harold was the kind of guy that would bring me breakfast to work just because he cared. Harold was a fun guy and he could have fun in just about anything he did. I will miss Harold. Harold will be remebered and never forgoten.

I am Ginger, Harold's neice. I appreciat all of your prayers, your comments and memories. Harold was a wonderful uncle. Always smiling and happy. As a child, I remember going for ice cream cones together along with my brothers and we would watch the fish in the tank at the VA Hospital in Marshalltown where Harold SR. stayed. Harold Jr. always had a joke and loved to tell us that chocolate milk came from a chocolate cow! He also loved his cats! Uncle Harold will be missed dearly. My mother Barbara (Hartley) Tharp, has lost track of her family. Any family or friends of Harold that would like to contact us could mail us a letter at my home. I do not have a computer at home. Harold was one life's special gifts. In my experiences, I have never met someone so fiercely loyal and devoted as a friend. His unselfishness and warmth will be missed. I still look for him at our matches in Cedar Rapid. An unique soul indeed.
