My thoughts are with you during this sad time. As I have always said, the Clark family is a strong tight fun family led by a wonderful man. Your Dad was an inspiration to me because he, with your Mom, had such great kids.

DEAR FAMILY, I REMEMBER RODNEY FROM WHEN HE WAS JUST A CHILD. HE WAS ALWAYS HAPPY AND FUNNY. I MOVED AWAY IN 1958 AND ONLY SAW HIM A COUPLE OF TIMES AFTER THAT AS I HAVE LIVED IN CALIFORNIA SINCE AND HIS MOM AND DAD MOVED EVERYONE TO ANAMOSA. I AM REALLY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS AND DO REMEMBER RODNEY WITH GREAT AFFECTION. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON HIS SOUL. SINCERELY, JERRY

Rodney "Rod" was one of my best friends at Marion High back in 1966. I was the kid from Oklahoma with the funny southern accent who lived at 840 10th street, just up the street from the Clarks. We bummed around in his Chevy wagon but otherwise stayed out of trouble. Great guy. Lots of fun. Went to Marion and looked him up in 1989. Spent an afternoon at his house reliving old times. Send him several letters thereafter, but he never answered. I am so sorry to learn of this. He was a real pal. I now have learned that Steve Pelley is also gone. The three of us were pals. I'll have both in my memories for as long as I live. God bless.
