Mary Kathryn (Fridgen) Feld, of Marion, died August 14, 2010. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion on Friday, August 20th, 2010 at 11 AM. Private inurnment will be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband John B. of Marion; two sons Stephen and wife Julia, of Marshalltown, Daniel and wife Dianne of Cedar Rapids; two daughters Angela Wilkinson and husband Blake of Marion, Terese Fisher and husband John of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving seven grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, and Shelby of Marshalltown, Brian and Laura of Cedar Rapids, Jacob and Patrick of Marion. She was preceded in death by an infant son Patrick, son John L. Feld, daughter, Ann Marie Feld, her parents, and a brother Jules Fridgen.
Mary Kay was born December 27, 1934 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Angeline (LaValette) Fridgen. She married John (J. B.) Feld on August 31, 1957 in Rochester, Minnesota.
Mary Kay had a great love of music and taught piano in her home for many years. Her love, laughter, and pleasing personality will be missed.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Linn Manor Care Center who treated her with such special loving care. Also, thank you to all of you who sent Mary Kay your best wishes and visited her during her last months. It meant a lot to her and her family.
A memorial fund has been established.
