Delorise L. Derby, 76, of Crestview Acres in Marion died Wednesday March 10, 2010 at St. Lukes Hospital after a brief illness. Graveside services at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 9 until service time on Friday.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Matt) Lubbock of Marion and a son Ray Jr. of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Jodie (Melvin) Aiken of Kansas and a brother, Everett (Linda) Young of Marion. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kerrie, Tracie, Scott, Ricky, Mikayla, Hailey and Dallas; seven great grandchildren, Kyle, Britini, Hunter, Lucas, Oliver, Parker and Kira. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Carol Derby, a sister, Dorothy Cox and two brothers, Don and David Young.
Delorise was born on January 8, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of C. Vincent and Grace Kelly Young. She married Raymond R. Derby on June 9, 1951 in Iowa City. He died in 2006. Delorise was a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial fund has been established in Delorise’s name.
