Miriam Rogers Overley of Cedar Rapids died Friday February 26, 2010. Funeral services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home where friends may call after 10 AM on Tuesday. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Miriam was born to Joel E. and Inez Rogers in Houston, TX on September 21, 1911. Miriam was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Overley a chemist with Swift & Company.

Surviving are children Janice Overley-Olsen, Joanne Mores, Charlene Longino, and Charles A. Overley, JR.

Miriam was a life long teacher in the Chicago area ending her career at Faulkner School for Girls. Miriam taught chemistry, math, and home economics.

Miriam was a graduate of Coe College. She then obtained her Masters degree at Kansas State where she was a member of Kappa Delta.

Miriam and Charles were blessed with 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
