Paul M. Martin, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. David Grandon will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include his children Tom Wuertz of Denver, CO, Bonnie (Tom) Clarey of Marion, Dan (Cynthia) Martin of Cedar Rapids, and Michael Martin of Waterloo; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother Burt (Carol) Martin; and sisters Laura (Bill) Wolters, and Betty (Paul) Winters.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marcine, parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Paul was born April 3, 1932 in Germantown, IA the son of Albert and Bessie (Gibbs) Martin. He married Marcine Jennings on December 27, 1958 in Sutherland, IA she preceded Paul in death on July 8, 2002. Paul was a United States Navy veteran serving from 1949 until 1954. He retired from Rockwell Collins as a Laboratory Technician in 1993 after 33 years of employment.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
