My condolences to the Machen family. I knew Jimmy as a result of my mother being very good friends with his mother, Effie. Both of our mothers were from England and they enjoyed many hours together. These English ladies enjoyed an almost mother/daughter relationship. Effie was a very dear 'member' of our family. In fact, Effie was the grandmother I never really had. I will always remember how much Jimmy cared for his mother during her later years. Keep the memories of your husband/father close to your heart and know that others are thinking of you at this time.
