Doris M. Olson
Lisa ~ I am so sorry for your loss. I DO know you have a lot of crazy memories to keep you thinking and laughing for a very long time! I may not have realized it when we were kids, but now I see that your Mom was very encouraging for you to have friends which is SO important - I remember it being pretty crazy with a lot of kids running around the front yard on Emerald Ave - and the sleepovers - and birthday parties - and letting you invite friends to go camping with your family (I had so much fun!) Having a 5 kids herself and having the tolerance and patience to take on so many others is a special quality. She loved you very much and I know she was proud of you and the person you have become. I'm so sorry I cannot be there for the visitation or funeral, but please know that you and your family are in my thoughts as well as my prayers. Sending my love ~

To The Doris Olson Family: When I'm Gone by Mrs.Lyman Hancock When I come to the end of my journey And I travel my last weary mile Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned And remember only the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken Remember some good I have done Forget that I ever had heartache And remember I've had loads of fun. Forget that I've stumbled and blundered And sometimes fell by my way Remember I have fought some hard battles And won, ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going I would not have you sad for a day But in summer just gather some flowers And remember the place where I lay. And come in the shade of the evening When the sun points the sky in the west Stand for a few moments beside me And remember only my best.

My heart goes out to you as you experience the loss of your dear family member. Doris came out to play bingo when she was up to it. She wanted to make sure that she had treats on hand when her grandchildren came to visit at Meadowview. I also enjoyed visiting with her and receiving Mitzi kisses. Sincerely, Charlotte Briggs, activity assistant at Meadowview

Hey Stacey and family! I am so sorry I couldn't make it there for the service...was tied up both Wed night and Thur a.m. But my thoughts were with you! Doris was a feisty woman and she always handled so much so well. Peace!
