Audrey A. Reigel, 91, passed away at Cottage Grove Place on Friday, October 02, 2009 of a sudden illness.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Cassells (Thomas) of Cedar Rapids, two grandsons, Colin Cassells of Houston Texas, Shaun Cassells of Cedar Rapids, and a brother James Andersen of Pennsylvania.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Jerome, her parents, Carolyn and James Andersen, and her sister Miriam Bond.
Audrey was born July 15, 1918 in Jersey City, NJ.; graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange Illinois; and attended the New York School of Interior Design. She married Jerome Reigel on August 23, 1941. Prior to moving to Cedar Rapids, she lived in Hinsdale, Illinois for 34 years and Hendersonville, NC for 22 years. She worked as an interior designer for many years and was a talented artist.
She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and dear friend.
The family will have a private service at Cedar Memorial officiated by Reverend Gillespie of St. Paul’s Methodist Church.
