Donald L. Berry, 81, of Marion, passed away on September 16, 2009 at the Winslow House Care Center in Marion. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. David Bracht-Wagner will officiate with entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

Survivors include his children Susan (Denny) Dollash of Quasqueton, IA, Cindy (Jack) Trimble of Cedar Rapids, Randy Berry, Douglas (Julie) Berry, and Ronald Berry all of Marion; sisters Wilma Jean Heck and Anna Mae Micheal of Walker, Alice Holub of Center Point, and Marie Kuhn of Hiawatha; fifteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Aruther Leland and Matilda Berry, wife Henrietta, granddaughter Melissa Trimble, and grandson Adam Berry.

Donald LaVerne Berry was born December 29, 1927 to Aruther Leland and Matilda (Bednar) Berry in Walker, IA. He married Henrietta Hrdlicka on September 5, 1948 in Walker, IA. Donald worked for the Cedar Rapids Cargill Plant as a mill house operator for 21 years retiring in 1991.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
