Mary Delores Votroubek, 95, of 3500 Sheridan Dr. SE, died Saturday, September 5, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. David O’Connor of All Saints Catholic Church officiating. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home with a scriptural wake service beginning at 5 PM and a Catholic Daughters rosary service at 5:30 PM.

Survivors include her daughter Mary Jo and her son Mike both of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Godfrey, and siblings Clara, Libby, and George.

Mary was born August 12, 1914 in Cedar Rapids to Aloysius and Clara Kabala Kofron. She married Godfrey Votroubek at St. Ludmila’s Catholic Church in June of 1930. She worked at Quaker Oats and was devoted to raising her family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, and a charter member of All Saints Catholic Church. Family life was always very important for Mary. She treasured her children and her faith.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the capital campaign at All Saints Parish.
