Memorial
Dale E. Kisner, 72, of Hiawatha, Ia., died Sept. 5th in St. Luke’s Hospital following a short illness. There will be no visitation. Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hiawatha, at 10 AM Wednesday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Evelyn, two daughters Laurie Burnside of Marion, Ia., Connie (Wendell) Stepanek of Cedar Rapids, Ia., one granddaughter Kimberly Burnside of Marion, Ia., three brothers John Kisner, Floyd Kisner, Lawrence Kisner, and three sisters, Beverly Dvorak, Gina Bergman, and Dorothy Lehmkuhl. One special pet Max. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mable and Peter, and one sister Shirley.
Dale was born June 14th, 1937, in Oelwein, Ia. the son of Peter and Mable Kisner. He graduated from Loras College. He was employed by Cargill in Cedar Rapids for 36 years as a logistic manager for the East and West soybean plants in Cedar Rapids. He served in the United States Army for 4 years. He was very proud to have supported his country. He also was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic church. Dale enjoyed fishing, Iowa Hawkeye’s, St. Louis Cardinals, and going to the casinos to pass the time away. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all the hearts that he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the St. Luke’s Hospice Foundation.
