Everlye M. Muilenburg, 86, died Monday, August 17, 2009 at Ridgecrest Village , Davenport . Celebration of Life: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at St. John’s United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ron Carlson.

Everlye is survived by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Muilenburg of Arnolds Park ; four nephews; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, N. Dick and Jacob Elwin Muilenburg; sister-in-law RoseMary Muilenburg, niece, Debra Muilenburg Sperberg; and grand nephew, Taylor Muilenburg Klein.

Everlye was born February 25, 1923 in Orange City to Hubert and Cora Muilenburg. She graduated from UNI with a Masters degree in education. She taught and was a librarian for the Davenport schools until her retirement. Everlye was a member of Aglow, teaching organizations, Black Hawk Hiking Club and active at St. John’s United Methodist Church , their choir, and church groups. She loved music, golf, nature and family history. She was a very special Aunt to all her nieces and nephews.
