Pauline G. Barnard, 96, of Richardson, TX, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died August 13, 2009 following an extended illness. Funeral services will take place 9:00 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, August 17, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving are her son Albert Jr. and wife Pat of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; son-in-law Richard Moffitt of Garland, TX; grandchildren Michael Barnard and wife Sandy of Cedar Rapids, and Chrissy Gattenby and husband Jason of Denton, TX; and great grandchildren Brittany, Hunter, Taylor, Noah, and Rylee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert Sr., and daughter Sandra Moffitt.

Pauline G. Barnard was born May 27, 1913 in Monticello, Iowa the daughter of Charles R. and Bonnie M. (Warner) Gearhart. She was united in marriage to Albert L. “Barney” Barnard, Sr. on September 18, 1933 in Cedar Rapids; he preceded her in death in 1997. Prior to moving to Texas, she was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening flowers, feeding birds and animals, and above all time spent with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to Willis Adult Day Care Center, 921 6th Avenue # E, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.
