Minnie Lathrop, 101, of Heritage Nursing & Rehab, died there, Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jonathan Offt. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include daughter, Carol (James) Cutler of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Mark Cutler and Stacie Reid; great grandchildren, Blake, Casey, and Rachel.

She was preceded in death by parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Minnie was born September 3, 1907 in Oelwein to Newel and Minnie Hodgdon. She married Harvey Lathrop on August 18, 1928 in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1986. She worked at Cities Service Oil Co, Honeymead Products and Iowa Midland Supply before retiring. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Missionary Society, Fellowship Club, Ladies Bible Class and Special Needs Bible Class.
