Joy Rainbow
Dear Bud and Family, Words are not adequate to express my feelings for the hole that is in your hearts right now. I can only pray that the beautiful legacy of love, graciousness and hospitality that Joy has left will fill your hearts, and all the wonderful memories she made for you will wrap themselves around you for many years to come. I know as a Hospice Nurse I'm not supposed to have "favorites," but knowing Joy has enriched my life in so many ways, I will always remember her. Thank you for allowing me to be there in her last years. I am so sorry that I had the flu those last few days when she was in the hospital and I could not be there. I hope my co-workers who came were a help and a comfort to you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers for a very long time to come. Sincerely, Michelle

Bud and family, Knowing Joy and learning from her example has been a tremendous blessing in my life. Her faith, grace, courage and joy were an inspiration to all who knew her. I can almost hear the Lord saying "well done, my good and faithful servant". I look forward to seeing her again in eternity. "And ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you." John 16:22

Joy reminded me we met when Gene first ran for office as County Attorney..in 1974.I just knew our paths crossed and we became fast friends. Remember trips we took together and most of all conversations we shared!! Knowing we were both ENFP's could make us smile, giggle, and agree in our thinking ! The last few years we have spent time talking of Heaven and all the wonderful possibilities ahead. I have been blessed to have been her friend and especially blessed by being able to share with her these last few months. I know it is a tremendous loss to the family I pray you will feel her presence around and I am positive you will!! Joy was excited to chat with our daughter in Heaven. It makes us happy knowing she is doing that right now. WIth Fondness Gene and Sally Kopecky

Dear Bud and Family.... We were deeply saddened to read of your loss of such a loved one. We will remember our joyous times together at GWAEA conventions. One of my most fondest memories I had with Joy was our renting canoes and paddling through the canals at Hilton Head together. Joy was a wonderful woman, Mother, wife, friend, teacher, etc. She will be missed by many. We extend our sincere sympathies to you and your fine family.
