Lorenzo Burgess, 67, of Marion, died Thursday, July 30, 2009. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. William Harnish. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the chapel after 10 a.m. Monday.

Survivors include wife of 47years, Alice, children, Larry, Philip, and Mike Burgess, all of Cedar Rapids, Rosalie (Brad) Hendricks of Bridgeport, WA, Gary (Johnnie) Burgess of Lahoma, OK, and Linda French of Belle Plaine; his mother, Rosie; sister, Sharon; brother, Elwood; and eight grandchildren.

Lorenzo was born April 17, 1942 in Mason City to Lorenzo and Rosie Burgess. He was employed by Quaker Oats for over 34 years, retiring in 2000.
