Jim was born on September 19, 1956 in Cedar Rapids to William and Anna Berge Anderson. Jim graduated from Washington High School in 1975 in Cedar Rapids. He received a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN in 1981 and also attained a second B.A. degree from Coe College in 1983 in Cedar Rapids where he taught computer software courses. Jim was employed by Rockwell Collins for 22 years. His most recent position was Senior Software Engineer. He was a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
