Memorial

Florence S. Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Saturday, June 13, 2009.

Memorial service: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Marilyn Buchanan of Buffalo United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids officiating. A memorial gathering will be held for one hour prior to services at the chapel on Tuesday. Inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Barry L. of Thornton, Colorado, Mark A. of Phoenix, Arizona and Randy C. of Hot Springs, Arkansas. A sister Ruth Ann Krebs of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Robert L. Stout of West Chester, Iowa three grandchildren, Jason C. Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, Amanda M. Gates of Japan and David Walsh of Danville, IL; three great grandchildren, Trinity Mikaula Gates & Kylie Elizabeth Gates & Gabriella Gates in Japan.

Florence was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and one grandchild, Angela M. Miller.

Florence began life on March 28, 1921 when she was born on a farm south of Westchester, Iowa to Lafayette & Annie Bertha Brown Stout. She was the 7th of 9 children. She had many jobs during her lifetime and the last one was with Vector Corporation of Marion, IA where she worked from 1973 thru 1987 when she retired,

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in her name to Buffalo United Methodist Church, 4009 Blairs Ferry Rd, Cedar Rapids, IA 52411
